FAQ

How long will it take for my order to be dispatched?

I make 99% of my pieces from scratch, so most orders are posted within 10 to 14 working days. If you're in a hurry, feel free to message me for a more accurate dispatch time and I’ll always do my best to help.

Some items, like gold rings or my super chunky star cuff, are hallmarked to order and can take up to 3 weeks to dispatch.

How will my order be packaged?

Each piece is sent in a branded, tie-dye cotton bag that’s made to be kept and reused. It’s perfect for storing your jewellery, especially silver, as keeping it in a closed bag can help slow down natural tarnishing. The bag’s also ideal for travel!

I post everything in a recyclable box with tissue paper, sealed using washi tape (which peels off easily before recycling). The box itself is closed with recycled packing tape. Everything is designed to be as eco-friendly as possible, and the best part? A large letter-sized box will fit straight through your letterbox, so no missed deliveries.

What are the postage options?

All UK orders are sent First Class as standard. If you’d like extra peace of mind, you can upgrade to Special Delivery at checkout.

International orders are always sent using a tracked service to make sure they arrive safely.

USA Orders – Tax and Duties
At the moment, orders under $800 USD sent via Royal Mail (which is what I use) usually arrive with no extra fees. Happy days!

Very occasionally, US customs may add a random charge (sadly out of my hands). If that happens, it would be your responsibility to pay it.

Import rules in the US are changing soon, and the $800 threshold might not stick around. If that changes, you may need to pay a fee before delivery. I’m keeping a close eye on it and will always keep you updated because no one likes surprise charges. Keep an eye on my FAQ (here) and my instagram for updates.

EU Shipping Pause
Due to new EU regulations requiring a costly third-party representative, I’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily stop shipping to EU countries. I truly appreciate my customers in Europe, and if things change in future (or the rules get less silly), I’ll reassess.

Can I request a custom piece?

Yes, I'm happy to take on custom orders. If you see a design you love but fancy it with a different gemstone, just let me know. I'm happy to make little tweaks like that. I can also personalise existing pieces to make them more you. If you have something in mind that fits the Eleven Feathers vibe, feel free to get in touch and we can dream something up. I'll let you know what's possible, the cost, and how long it might take.

What length chain is best for my pendant?

This comes down to personal preference. Check out the size chart below to get a feel for where your pendant will sit.

How should I care for my silver jewellery?

- Remove jewellery before showering / swimming.
- Let lotions and perfumes dry before wearing jewellery.
- Clean with polishing cloth supplied. Avoid silver dip solution.
- Store in cotton bag provided, or airtight container to prevent natural tarnishing.

How should I care for gemstone jewellery?
- Remove jewellery before showering / swimming & exercising
- Clean with soft cloth and luke warm soapy water. Dry immediately.
- Avoid extreme temperatures.

What materials do you use?

All of my silver and gold is 100% recycled and thoughtfully sourced. I work only with solid sterling silver and 9ct gold, never plated or filled metals.

Gemstones are selected with care for both their beauty, meaning and properties, and the stone used will always be listed in the product description.

Any pieces over the legal hallmarking weight are hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office to guarantee quality and authenticity.

Do you offer gift options?

Yes! All pieces come gift-ready in a cotton tie-dye bag. You can add a personalised gift tag by leaving a note at checkout.

If you have any trouble finding the note option or want the gift sent directly to the recipient, just drop me a message, I’m happy to help.

Will I have to pay customs charges?

If you're ordering from outside the UK, your country may charge customs or import fees. These are set by your local government and are the responsibility of the buyer.

I don’t have control over these charges, so please check your country’s rules before ordering if you’re unsure.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

I want you to love your jewellery, so if there’s ever an issue, please get in touch and I’ll do my best to help. (email - elevenfeathersjewellery@gmail.com or dm me on instagram - @elevenfeathersjewellery)

Returns are accepted on non-custom pieces within 14 days of receiving your order. Return postage will be your responsibility unless the item is faulty.

Custom orders, including personalised pieces and items made to your specific size or with chosen gemstones, are non-refundable. Because of this, I encourage you to carefully check the sizing guides and get in touch if you want advice before ordering — this really helps avoid sizing issues.

Exchanges are rare and usually only happen if the wrong size has been ordered. I’m easiest to reach for a quick response on Instagram, so feel free to message me there for sizing help or any questions before you buy.
